How has it been ten whole days since my last post? *Slaps self on wrist*. These past few days have been a right ol' mixed bag, at first I didn't feel up to blogging due to a few personal issues and then when I decided to get back on the horse my MacBook refused to turn on! Life lesson? Water and laptops don't mix, even if said spillage happened way back in September - I'm now the proud parent of a new MacBook Air, she's a babe who will not be gallivanting anywhere near liquids. Life hasn't been all doom and gloom though, my bathroom is finally complete and I spent Wednesday down in London with my best friend and beau (he's a good egg) watching the laugh out loud Book of Mormon and participating in a teeny amount of shopping, well it'd be rude not to. Not forgetting the huge spree I went on last weekend in Leeds with Gemma...oops! Taking a short blogging break has made me realise just how much I love my little space on the Internet and that sometimes it's ok if life takes over, this must be the first time I've not blogged in a while and not beat myself up about it.

These snaps were taken just a couple of weekends ago when we actually had some sunshine, now it's just the weather that ducks enjoy. Does anyone else feel the need to eat warm stews and veg in their pyjamas when it's like this? One downside to no longer living with the rents is not having daily access to their rather dreamy gardens, don't they just make the most pretty backdrop? Beanies have become a wardrobe staple for me recently, they're perfect for keeping your noggin' snug in these chilly temperatures or for disguising a bad, I-refuse-to-behave hair day. This outfit is the epitome of dressed down Hannah, it's a pretty relaxed ensemble while still being a little fash' and that's largely down to my statement jumper which I picked up from & Other Stories just before Christmas - thrown together with the boys denim shirt I'm just a little bit in love with this get up and the mix of textures. The one component I couldn't live without? My leather look skinnys, I'm actually thinking of getting my mitts on another pair because I wear them so much. River Island, you did good.

What's your go to weekend outfit? Do you enjoy sporting cosy headwear?

Oh Sunday you're the ultimate babe, any day that consists of walking aimlessly through fields with my man and our pooch, consuming my body weight in tasty treats and watching Sunday Brunch is beyond ok by me. Speaking of Sunday Brunch did anyone see the rather gorgeous Kara Tointon on todays addition? That girl and my bud Scarlett are two ladies who make me want to go for the chop and embrace the bob, true story.

Sundays are usually the day where I find myself perusing the wardrobe, realising I have absolutely no clothes I like and announcing that I have nothing to wear. Today was unsurprisingly no different but instead of having a fit I decided to take the high road and be mature, so I raided the boys wardrobe. This denim shirt made by the legend Paul Smith fits worryingly well, baggy in all the right places with the only alteration being a quick sleeve push up, thrown together with my leather look skinny jeans I feel I just about pull off the boys threads.

Conscious of making my get up girl appropriate I decided on a slick of hot pink lipstick (Maybellines Fuschia Fever FYI), a pastel statement necklace and the piece de resistance, a pair of pink studded high tops* courtesy of the lovely folk at Daniel Footwear. Now I appreciate these might not be everyones idea of a good time but hey they sure are mine - not only are they extremely comfortable but they hit the casual note perfectly and tick off the pale pink trend that's going on right now, perfect for those of you who don't want to commit to a demure pastel coat.

My tip of the day? If you're having a wardrobe melt down take a sneaky peek through the man friends rail, you never know what gems you might find.

Do you find yourself ''borrowing'' clothes from your significant other? What do you think of my pastel kicks?

*My pink studded high tops were kindly gifted to me by Daniel Footwear.

Happy Sunday guys! This weekend has flown by in a whirl of cupcake eating, Bond watching, brunch devouring and bunting making but more on that another time. As the boy works in retail he works every other Saturday (pretty luck really, I used to have work every weekend). At first I used to find it a bit lonely but now I actually enjoy having a bit of time to myself whether it's having a chilled out day, a brunch date with my mum or just a catch up with my friends I really cherish these Saturdays. This Saturday was no different and I finally caught up with one of my oldest and dearest friends, two weeks of not seeing her is far too long!

Rather unsurprisingly to anyone who knows me well I was running late after returning from the gym at 12 noon with plans to meet Lauren at 12.30. Cue running in and out of a cold shower (thanks family), throwing on the nearest clothes from the floordrobe, buffing my foundation in like a crazed woman and slicking Plumful lipstick on faster than you can say MAC. Saturdays attire centred around my new wolf print jumper from Zara which my parents brought me back from a stop in Barcelona, good choice parentals! I'd actually been eyeing this up myself but the price tag put me off but thanks to the amazing Zara prices in Spain I think this was actually quite a steal. The easiest thing to grab in a rush are my go-with-everything coated jeggings from Warehouse - these are a serious lifesaver and manage to give any outfit the right amount of fashion edge. As I knew I'd end up running from my car to our meeting point my footwear of course had to be my red velvet trainers adding that necessary pop of colour (and texture) to a fairly plain outfit - by Cagney and Lace standards that is. Finally I threw on my tartan scarf to keep away the cold winds completing my pretty casual yet Saturday appropriate ensemble.

I hope you're all chilling out and enjoying your Sunday evenings as much as me, I've got a stack of YouTube videos to catch up on but the most exciting thing happening tonight is the return of Dexter to my screen. I'm a huge fan and can't wait to get stuck into the new series, the last one ended on a serious cliffhanger! Oh and did I forget to mention I'm off to see Girls Aloud tomorrow? I was a mahoosive fan in my teens so I can't wait to relive my youth tomorrow night.

What have you been wearing this weekend? Brownie points given for any items of clothing featuring fierce animals.

I can't believe how quickly our weekend in London went, it literally zoomed by in a hot chocolate fuelled haze! We definitely came, saw, shopped (the boy not me) and conquered (I did find a bargainous shirt in Zara though, definitely an achievement). Today's pictures were taken yesterday on our last day in London - the boy and I had a super lazy morning and decided to do brunch, me french toast with berries and him a hearty full English. As we only had a few hours until our train we kept things local and with Buckingham Palace right on our door step we thought it'd be rude not to hop, skip and courtesy over. I vaguely remember visiting Buckingham Palace and all the typical London tourist sights as a child but it's definitely hard to recall specific memories. I for one appreciate all things cultured a lot more now I'm a little older and the boy seemed pretty excited too (well it was his idea), so off we went.

I hadn't planned on wearing head to (almost) toe black as I don't really love rocking the Scottish widow look but a quick peek out of the window confirmed the weather was just a little dreary. As walking would be the main activity of the day I decided to plan my outfit around my red velvet trainers - what was life like before these? On went my thermal top (well I am recovering from tonsillitis) followed by my Zoe Karssen Boys jumper which is casual at it's very best - next my coated jeggings which are the perfect antidote to frightened of disco pant-itus. Finally I added my favourite jewellery piece, my Mawi-esque necklace from Topshop and threw on my never-take-it-off faux fur stole and the ever practical yet chic studded Zara coat. An outfit fit for royalty....maybe I wouldn't quite tick that box.

I hope you all had lovely weekends whatever you were up to - I promise to share more snaps from the London album very soon (my new camera takes pictures like a dream) including a very tasty cookery lesson with Jamie Oliver's Recipease team, all I'll say it that I can now make pasta from scratch - surely a skill for life? Only time will tell.

Have you ever posed outside Buckingham Palace? What did you wear?

You Can't Catch Me I'm A Gingerbread Man

It's Sunday evening again waaaaa, this weekend has literally flown by in a blur of shopping, cupcakes and a little more shopping. I must admit I've been a little naughty this weekend with my spending but hey it's nearly Christmas and a girl has to have a party outfit (if you're in need of some festive party inspiration then have a look at my last post). Expect a haul blog post very soon as well as my thoughts on Topshop Personal Shopping which my friend and I experienced yesterday.

Today's outfit was very much festive meets cosy as I've been feeling full of cold today- I blame my brother as he's been coughing and sneezing all week! I've always been a huge lover of gingerbread men (a strange statement I know) whether it's eating them or aww-ing at the one in the Shrek films so as soon as I saw this jumper I had to grab it. My coated jeggings and tartan scarf have become Winter wardrobe staples for me and I love how tartan makes me feel Christmassy and partially reminds me of travel blankets (bizarre but very true). What a shocker that my red velvet Paul Smiths have made another appearance, they're so comfortable and definitely bring an element of surprise to a simple outfit.

I hope you're all making the most of your final weekend moments, I'm off to catch up on X Factor (come on James) and have a good perv on Damien Lewis in Homeland.

Have you been rocking a festive Christmas jumper today? How have you been wearing yours?

Don't You Step On My Red Velvet Shoes

Red Velvet Trainers: Paul Smith

How bloomin cold is it today? I had the shock of my life stepping outside today, cue the arrival of my thermal vest (sexy!) One of the real bonuses of living back at my mum and dads is finding little gems in my wardrobe or under the bed which I'd completely forgot about, these red velvet Paul Smith trainers are a prime example. I remember begging and pleading with my mum one year to have these for Christmas, probably two wears later and at least five years on I find these bad boys under my bed- barely worn and in the original box looking all forlorn. Not only are they super comfy but they're a change from the black wedge trainers littering the high street at the moment- I for one haven't seen any red velvet hi tops with little rabbits on (look closely). Throw in my favourite black coated jeggings and an old knitwear friend and you have the perfect ingredients  for a chilled out Saturday outfit. I know I'll be reaching for these beauties throughout the Winter season and I promise you all that I won't leave these under the bed ever again.

I've spent the morning running errands, eating cupcakes (just the one I promise) and having a peruse around my local Joy store....a dangerous decision especially when I should be saving- there must have been at least 3 books I wanted to take home. My plans for the evening include huge slippers, an Indian takeaway and a good ol' perv on James Arthur. I hope you're all enjoying your Saturdays as much as me.

What have you been wearing this weekend? Have you been rocking trainers?
