10+ Cagney and Lace points if any of you eagle eyed folk have spotted this very ensemble on a certain southerners blog - without even realising it I've become a bit of a blogging floozy aka occasional guest blogger and after sharing these snaps with Alices readers I thought it was about time I popped them up on official C&L HQ. After all these are some of my absolute favourite shots, cheers mum! If you aren't familiar with Alice then do check out her blog here, she's a babe.

When the crop top trend started shouting loud and proud I wondered whether it was time to hide away in my non crop top touting wardrobe hating the fashion set for encouraging me to bare my stomach again. The saying goes that if you remember a trend the first time round then you shouldn't sport it again but with the high street awash with cropped numbers it wasn't long before one found it's way onto my rail. This lace ice blue beauty shows the tiniest amount of flesh when teamed with my Maysa skinnys but paired with a high waisted bottom half and magic happens. Speaking of high waisted numbers who'd of thought I'd be rocking a PU skirt? I've fallen head over heels not just because it's super versatile but it's actually wipe clean, perfection for a messy eater like me. Yes this is what I enjoy in clothing, don't judge. I've gone pretty smart with this duo but I know this skirt would look just as swell with flats and an oversized knit on a breezy Summers eve, oh how I miss thee sunshine.

Special mentions go to my tortoiseshell sunnies which I picked up in Bath - after yearning for a Burberry pair I decided I couldn't justify the spendy price tag so my mum picked out this pair in Topshop instead, good pick momma! Last but certainly not least are another recent purchase (are you sensing a pattern?) My incredibly simple block heels from Dune which are my bridesmaid shoes for when my brother gets married in just over a months time! I was planning on saving them for the big day but just had to don them with this get up. You can keep a secret right?

Are you on board with crop tops? What do you make of my PU skirt?
