When my dad and brother announced a trip to Las Vegas was on the cards (get it?) there was only one thing on my mind, Sephora. Everyone knows those European branches are nowhere near as good, it's America that has the beauty booty goin' on and I knew exactly what I was after. Thankfully my ma and pa are used to hunting down shops on their travels with a long list in hand as I kindly request beauty or fashion items that can't be found in the UK but with my dad flying solo would he manage a Sephora splurge with my bro in tow? Initially he wasn't keen but after a win in Vegas he clearly felt the need to treat his only favourite daughter.

So say hello to my American finds, if you enjoy reading a beauty blog or two I doubt my picks will need any introduction but here goes... First up is the Lolita eyeshadow palette from Marc Jacobs. After spotting this in a number of You Tube haul videos I was more than intrigued, I'm no fancy pants when it comes to eye make-up but eye shadow is a whole load of fun and even I can master a half decent smokey eye. These shades look incredibly buttery and more importantly wearable with a beautiful mix of glitters and matte options in the most divine neutral hues, I can already tell this palette is going to get some serious attention. I better get washing my one and only MAC 217 stat.

The Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes are the best blushes around, fact. I have tried blushes from Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown and Nars yet nothing comes close to the formulation of Tarte. Blusher has a tendency to disappear on my cheeks in a matter of minutes (I promise I'm not joking) but these stay around for ages, maybe not twelve hours but a long time. My bestie Gemma bought me the shade Tipsy last year on her American travels and nine times out of ten times this is what I wear everyday, when I find something I like I stick to it. My dad rather sweetly picked me up two shades, one is Natural Beauty a rosy pink shade and the other Exposed Nude, which is a natural looking flush of colour as the name suggests. I cannot wait to get these on my cheeks, Tipsy it's time to sober up.

What do you lust after in Sephora? Have you ever tried Tarte Blushes or anything from Marc Jacobs?
