If I had a pound for every time I've heard a blogger talk about La Roche Posay and the infamous Effaclar Duo I might just be able to afford this Michael Kors bag. Blogger jokes aside I've never dipped my toe into Effaclar waters before for fear of my skin having a full blown break out, although many said it was the best skincare product since sliced bread others said it broke their skin out like a mofo and with my skin being one sensitive soul I decided to stay clear (excuse the pun), until now. Those French fancies at La Roche Posay have reformulated their original offering and I for one was intrigued, say hello to Effaclar Duo +*.

Effaclar Duo + still has all the blemish fighting capabilities of the old formulation but with a new souped up addition in the form of Procerad, a patented ingredient which is designed to fight any pigmentation left behind by pesky blemishes. I've been using Effaclar Duo + daily for the last month and I must say I'm impressed - for a mere £10.33 (it's on offer right now here) this treatment moisturiser has helped to clear my (incredibly frustrating) blemishes like nothing else. I've been using ED+ pre moisturiser but depending on your skin type you might want to try this as a targeted treatment or as your sole moisturiser. For the record my skin is sensitive and combination.

I love the lightweight texture of Effaclar Duo + and how the product has no nasties or parabens in it, perfection for my breaks-out-at-anything visage. Not only have I noticed my skin looking generally clearer but I've also seen a huge improvement in a couple of dark pigmentation marks I have where a spot has decided to leave me a kind reminder of its presence, nice. As with all skincare I'm sure you'll agree it can be trial and error but for me personally Effaclar Duo + will always have a place in my stash, my skin loves it and it's an essential when my skin's having a right ol' freak out.

I'm also just a little tempted to try a few more products from La Roche Posay, any suggestions?

*Effaclar Duo + was kindly sent to me by Escentual, all thoughts my own.
