I'll let you all into a little secret, creme brûlée is one of my favourite desserts but not for the taste, oh no that would be far too simple - the reason I love creme brûlée so much is the composition and more specifically the delicate sugar crystal top that makes the most wonderful cracking sound when you tap it with a spoon. I'd happily order this very dessert just to successfully demolish the burnt sugar top but enough about my foodie requests, I'm here to tell you about the most delicious body lotion and candle partnership from Laura Mercier.
I was gifted this creme brûlée set for Christmas but with a hundred and one body lotions on the go it's taken me a while to test this one out and boy was it worth the wait. The body lotion, and candle for that matter have the exact scent of creme brûlée which is incredibly sweet, caramel-y and comforting without being sickly, unless sweet scents aren't your thing. The lotion itself is lightly whipped akin to soufflé so it not only moisturises well but sinks into the skin quickly, perfect if you don't like to sit around while your lotions disappear. The candle is the cutest trial size and has been a real pick me up while I've been feeling under the weather, bringing just the right amount of dessert smelling goodness to the room every time it's lit and unlike some high end candles (I'm looking at you Diptyque) it burns cleanly.
Body creams are my thing and I've tried a lot but I must say this Laura Mercier offering is my current fave even though a repurchase would be pretty pricey (the full size product 300g is £44.50) making this the ideal gift for Mothers Day or maybe just one to treat yourself with. My only criticism is that these gift sets aren't available to buy all year round, value for money and chocolate box style packaging, who wouldn't be game?
Have you ever tried Laura Mercier body products? Would creme brûlée be your scent of choice?

Damn, I was so close to picking this up in the Space NK sale after Christmas but I somehow talked myself out of it. Stupid girl! x
