On lazy, pushed for time days when I want a fresh but quick make-up look (the operative word being quick, yes I'm that girl munching muesli and applying foundation at the same time) I turn to five products that ensure I'm out of the house only ten minutes later than planned, that is once I've decided what to wear, that always takes me a while.

Revlon Nearly Naked is a base that caught my eye thanks to Ameliaas soon as it hit the UK I dashed to Boots in the hope of actually liking a drugstore foundation - if you must know I've always been a bit of a foundation snob preferring high end brands but this baby is different and it's really similar to an old favourite, Nars Sheer Glow. The shade range is fantastic (I have 110 Ivory) and a little goes a long way especially with my Buffing Brush. This gives my skin a really natural but 'glows from within' look and lasts on my visage for a good eight hours before any t-zone touch ups are needed.

Next I apply Nars Creamy Concealer in any areas that need disguising, I'm looking at you under eye bags and cheeky blemishes. Now I know you've heard it all before but this concealer really is the bomb although it's a bitch to get hold of, why you always sold out Ivory? I'm on the last dregs of my first tube which has lasted a staggering five months, much longer than my Collection concealer ever did. This really does cover everything without getting cakey, believe the hype!

With base almost over and out I apply Soap & Glorys One Heck Of A Blot to my t-zone, concentrating on my nose where things tend to get a bit oily, I blame my glasses. This powder is translucent so doesn't add colour to my face but instead keeps the oil at bay. I know I sound like a blogging cliche but S&G prods never let me down and did I mention this has a cute mirror in the lid?

My final make-up essentials for an acceptable running-out-the-door look are blusher and a bright lip. My go to blush is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blusher in Tipsy which gives the most natural rosy flush around, it's super pigmented too so a light hand is best. Finally I slick on a bright lip colour to make the look appear pulled together, I love the ease of the crayon style lip products and Revlon really bring it in this department. Right now I'm giving their Colour Burst Matte Balm in Audacious a try and I can't fault how long this stays put plus it's nowhere as drying as the Nars Matte Pencils.

What five products do you reach for in a rush? Have you tried any of my favourites?
