Oh Sunday you don't half creep up on us all, what have you done to the weekend? I've indulged in the ultimate worker fave this week, extending my usual two day weekend to a three day-er in the hope of getting things moving in our new abode. I'd like to tell you it's been a breeze but the comment of the duration has been 'Rome wasn't built in a day', that said I'm loving putting our own stamp on our new home, even if my hands are screaming for a manicure.

With spa sessions a distant memory one thing that doesn't feel so unreachable is the Autumn Winter season. With August turning a little cooler and the shops starting to get their first drops of newness I found myself drawn to Zara last weekend, all in the name of research of course. As a devotee of all things tartan and having admired the pyjama trend from afar for quite a while I just had to have these loose tartan trousers. I'll be letting these beauties steal the show by keeping styling to a minimum and pairing these trou with either a slouchy grey jumper and pointed courts or with a basic tee and a statement necklace. I already know these silky touch trousers will be in my wardrobe season after season - I mean who wouldn't want to feel like they were wearing pyjamas all day? My advise? Take it easy on the bed head hair, no one wants to look like they've actually just rolled out of bed, that might just be a step too far.

Do you dream of wearing your pyjama bottoms out and about? What are your thoughts on tartan for Autumn Winter?
