I can't believe it's the middle of April - I'm sure I won't be the first or even the last person to say this but where has this month gone? It seems crazy that in a mere eleven days I'll be celebrating my twenty fifth birthday (I know, I just had to to mention my birthday again, I'm a woman possessed). Today's blog post title was created by the lovely Lauren who spotted my Instagram snap of these paisley print skinnys and lovingly named me the pied piper of paisley - what can I say? It stuck and thanks to my hat I feel like I have more than just a passing resemble to an actual pied piper but who cares, it's fashion darling.

I bought said camel hat way back in November from the Oxford Circus Topshop, feeling just a tad inspired by the divine Millie Mackintosh and with a need to protect my hair from some serious precipitation it was a match made in heaven. Fast forward to April 2013 and I'm ashamed to say I've only worn my hat a mere three times - feeling suitably disappointed with myself and spotting a fleeting April shower I decided it was time to resurrect a much loved but barely worn accessory.

I've been itching to wear my newly acquired paisley print jeans so as soon as I saw the sun peeking out in Sheffield yesterday I knew it was time. To prevent paisley overkill I decided to keep things simple, teaming my new fave skinnys with my white embellished collar shirt and adding my bright neon pink jumper for that necessary pop of collar - the sun may have been shining but it's still not warm enough for me to ditch my beloved knitwear. The finishing touch to the perfect Sunday shopping outfit (oh yes shopping happened and my spending ban has truly been broken) are my well worn lace up brogues which may be super comfy but are looking just a little bit tired. Sadly Nelson didn't come shopping although he definitely proved my pied piper theory. I wonder if he'd come to me so quickly sans hat?

I'm already counting down the days to the arrival of Wednesday, my last full day of this working week. On Wednesday evening I'm heading off to my favourite hairdressers to get my colour refreshed and working just half a day on Thursday before jumping on a train to Bath with my mum for a pre birthday mini break. It's been almost a year since I've been to Bath and I honestly can't wait to get reacquainted with the city and explore Bath in Fashion - a fashion event taking place right now until April the 27th. Bath, I'm coming for you!

Do you ever take style inspiration from the Made in Chelsea cast? Will you be working paisley into your wardrobe this Spring Summer?
