Sat with a cup of blackcurrant and acai herbal tea- delishlooking at the rain finally coming to a standstill (it's been vicious guys) I feel incredibly calm. Is it just me who finds it enjoyable to sit and watch the rain from my window? Anyhoo back to point- I'm feeling all soothed by the rain which inevitably lead to me on-line window shopping and surprise surprise I began styling these items into my hypothetical wardrobe...

Top to bottom- Lace Dress from Zara £39.99/ Faux Leather Sleeved T-Shirt from Zara £17.99/ Flower & Skull Neon Bracelet from Zara £15.99/ Rib V Boutique Jumper from Topshop £50/ Bee Print Blouse from Warehouse £45/ Creme De La Creme Zoe Karssen Jumper/ Aster Snake Metal Tap Slippers by Sam Edelman £148

In true Cagney and Lace style I was instinctively drawn to the lace dress and no it isn't just another lace dress. What I love about this Zara number is how the back is just as pretty as the front if a little understated. I'd team this with black opaques and ankle boots come Autumn or with bare legs and some fierce shoes now.

The faux leather sleeved t-shirt, another Zara piece would add edge to the simplest jeans and boots combo or I'd add some serious neck candy for a dressier approach. The bracelet just speaks for itself; a little bit too neon and dangling on the edge of cheap yet it just works. Personally I'm not one for jewellery overkill and prefer to just stick to one statement piece with a simple ring and some delicate friendship style bracelets but this could certainly fit the statement bill.

The ribbed v neck jumper screams fisherman's friend to me but that's why I like it, it reminds me of something you'd see your granddad wearing which smells of childhood memories. I adore a chunky knit in the A/W season and this would look spot on with my black coated jeggings which you can see in my first post.

The next two items are variations on two of my favourite themes; animal printed clothing and novelty jumpers. Seeing this written in black and white makes me wonder if I just yearn to feel like a child- they certainly get away with some of the best patterned clothing around. Although the shirt is similar to a Zara number I own (I can hear the boys voice now) the black tie bow makes it sufficiently different. As for the jumper I can already see me wearing it with boyfriend jeans and Converse.

My final wish list pick are these amazing metal toe snake print slippers from Sam Edelman. Being relatively gifted in the height department I live in flats so I'm always on the look out for a go-with-anything pair. Sadly they're not the cheapest of items but I'm sure I wouldn't see everyone wearing them and there's still time for Topshop to copy them. I live in hope....

What do you think to my Wednesday wishlist choices?
