I can't believe it's nearly the end of another weekend- my how they fly by! I've spent most of the day feeling incredibly delicate after a night out with some of my favourite girls- see me looking ready to parrrdy below (Dress from River Island & Necklace from Warehouse- in case you were wondering). Many cocktails were devoured and now I'm longing for the appearance of the Spice Girls on the Olympic Closing Ceremony and the arrival of mine & the boys takeaway, fingers crossed this will make me feel better.
So looking at my less than perfect, dull hangover skin today I thought I'd do a post on my weekend face. My weekends are usually spent catching with friends, eating cupcakes with my mum, running errands or shopping- so I like a natural make-up look which I can complete in 5 minutes flat, no messing!
To create my no-nonsense weekend face I use the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 in Nude, I pop a blob on my forehead, cheeks and chin and then buff it all into the skin with quelle surprise the Real Techniques Buffing Brush- bloomin amaze if you don't already have one. Once I've buffed to perfection I conceal. Under my eyes I use the MAC Select Moisture Cover in NW20 and on any blemishes (trust me, there's always one) I use Bobbi Browns Foundation Stick in Sand 2. Now I know you're all thinking this is a foundation in it's own right but it's perfect for chucking in your handbag and using as a touch up throughout the day.
Once concealed I use a light dusting of the Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder in Pale Yellow 1 over my t-zone to keep my oiliness at bay. I then use the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Golden Light 1 on the areas I naturally catch the sun- on my forehead, below the apples of my cheeks and just above my jaw (in a sort of C shape). I then finish my face with a touch of blush, courtesy of Illamasquas Powder Blush in Lover. To blush I use the Real Techniques Contour Brush.
To finish my weekend face I quickly colour in my brows with a MAC 266 slated brush and MAC Couquette Satin Eyeshadow and add a couple of coats of the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara. Finally I add lashings of the Eve Lom Kiss Mix (the smell is incredible) to my smackers before adding a slick of MACs Fanfare. So there you have my weekend face!
