Happy New Year! I hope you're all feeling as excited for the next 364 days of newness as I am. Last night I celebrated the arrival of 2015 with close friends, games and fodder - it couldn't have been more perfect. 2014 was one special year - I got engaged and set a date to marry my best friend, I inherited a sister in law as my brother got married, I watched two of my beautiful friends say I do and Craig and I received the greatest news of all, that we're soon to be parents. Somehow I don't think I'll be forgetting 2014 in a hurry.

2015 may be one of the biggest years of my life so far, hello wedding planning and new born baby but I've never been one to say no to challenge. I may not have done so well with last years resolutions, new recipes became a non starter, I found myself getting a jog on sometimes. I did relax with a book and found a pretty decent mascara (Max Factor Clump Defy) but it'll come as no shock that my savings plans didn't quite take off. Must. Try. Harder. While a new year isn't about being a new, all singing and dancing improved you it is a good time to set new goals...

Make just the two of us time - This year is going to be pretty baby centric but that still means we need to remember how we got here. Whether it's date nights or just getting up earlier and making breakfast for the other we need to remember to make time for each other.

Declutter and get saving those pennies - Hi I'm a Hannah and I'm a hoarder. I save everything from Christmas cards, clothing tags, plastic carrier bags to pretty packaging - not mentioning clothes and make-up I haven't touched for years. With another little person to make room for I think it's time to get my act together and stop being so frivolous.

Don't be so hard on myself - Ah the eternal female worry, I'm sure we could all benefit from being more mindful of this one. I like to think of myself as a pretty together kinda person but I'm sure a baby is going to throw this into disarray. I don't think anyone really knows what they're doing when they first leave a hospital with a newborn so I'm taking comfort in this.

Try something new - Whether it's trying mum to be yoga, eating at a new restaurant or finally introducing a new recipe to my repertoire. It's time to get out of my comfort zone.

What are your life goals for 2015? Do you have any exciting plans in the pipeline?
