Nike Free 5.0 Tri Fit Pink Trainers
Back in the day when All Saints and The Spice Girls were the de rigueur, Claires Accessories was the only place to pick up scrunchies and TY beanie babies were the bomb I was a trainer sporting, tracksuit wearing teen. No joke. I wasn't the slightest bit girly, always rocked a low ponytail and loved nothing more than playing a game of football with my brother, I even had a pair of New Balance before they got all fashion. Fast forward thirteen years and with the Scandi bloggers leading the fashion way (my votes with Anneli) I bought my first pair of not-for-the-gym-trainers.

Now don't be fooled into thinking this was an easy purchase, oh no. I had my eyes set on this pair from & Other Stories but they didn't have my size in store and they were an eye watering £85. After intently scouring ASOS like a woman possessed I noticed these neon pink beauties had 20% off, what did I have to lose? As soon as I opened the box I felt a gush of love (yes for trainers) and a rush of memories - let's just say I was a bit of a trainer addict back in my younger days, JD Sports was my Topshop. I was even more thrilled when they found their way onto my feet, they're just so darn comfy and the experience of walking can only be likened to bouncing on clouds.

So far I've worn these with my faux leather skinny trousers for a Sunday stroll with Craig and the pooch and to be frank I'm at a loss what to wear them with next, but don't you worry your noggin, my tootsies will be all kinds of cosy while I work it out.

So what do you think, should trainers be saved for the gym or worn a la Scandi style?
