August has easily been one of the most hectic yet exciting months of my entire life - Craig and I finally moved into our new home and got down to decorating faster than you can say B&Q, who'd of known I'd be such a dab hand with a screw driver, steamer and a paint roller? One of my fave things in August was showing my nan around our new abode, she seemed so proud of Craig and I and seemed very much at home! Another highlight in this final month of Summer was road tripping to Leamington Spa to see all my uni girlies - they're a fabulous bunch who I don't get to see nearly enough and I must admit the trip made a nice break from leaking washing machines and power cuts, no-one tells you about that jazz when you buy a house!

August Favourites - Without a shadow of a doubt my most reached for beauty product of August is my Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Orange Punch - where has this been all my life? I love how easy this is to slick on in a rush, which 99% of the time I am after spending too long on Instagram or the Daily Mail app! The moisturising glossy-but-not-too-glossy-finish is just perfection and I hear rumours that there's going to be a berry addition to the collection for Autumn Winer, I'm excited. 

My favourite non beauty love of the month is this blue origami dress from Topshop. After buying this in the sale for just £15 I wondered whether the initial excitement of bagging such a bargain would wear off and if this beauty would get lost in the depths of my wardrobe or if the total opposite would happen. Thankfully it was the latter, I've worn this on two separate occasions and I don't think I've ever had so many compliments on a dress, result!   

Favourite You Tube Video - My bud and I were discussing our favourite You Tuber not long ago and we both agreed on the wonderful Fleur de Force so it'll probably come as no surprise that my fave YT videos this month have been Fleurs Wedding Countdown Videos. Fleur comes across as a lovely and genuine person in all her videos so I'm sure I'm not alone in saying a big yay that her and Mike recently tied the knot! When it comes to You Tube this girl can do no wrong.

Another fave You Tuber this month is Tabitha from Scared Toast who recently posted a seriously meaty haul video, definitely one to watch with a cup of tea. Not only has Tabitha got amazing taste but her hair is to die for, anyone debating going for a good ol' chop needs to check out her locks - prepare to swoon.

Lusting After - The arrival of September means saying hello to all my favourite things, I'm thinking chunky knitwear, tartan and a new coat from Zara - you can see the one I'm salivating over here. Zara outerwear aside I feel like my skincare routine is really lacking right now and annoyingly for the second month running my skin really isn't at it's best so for September I'm taking it back to basics by eating healthily, increasing my water intake and maybe buying a face mask or five.
