Things are always better when there's talk of cheese - BBQ season is finally here - Sleeping Nelson - A family engagement! Congrats to my brother & his new fiancee - Pimms O'Clock - The cutest tee around - Who doesn't love Sylvanian Families? - Patty & Bun, you beauty - Work Lolly - Thank you team Elemis - Net A Porter always have THE best sale - Who doesn't love Disney? - My new favourite dress from Primark - A cheeky treat after a long walk in the Peaks - Two reasons why Waitrose petrol station rocks - Cagney & Lace turns one

July was the month the sun finally came to town so out came the deck chairs and sun loungers as I found myself blogging and even eating alfresco - I think one week I actually had four BBQ's in a row, no lie. Although July has been glorious in terms of weather it hasn't been so perfect when it comes to buying houses with one set back after another but that was nothing a trip to London couldn't cure with two of my faves, read all about it here. One highlight of our London trip was spotting Sylvanian Families in Hamleys, did anyone else used to love these? The most exciting thing however to happen in July was my brother finally asking the lovely Emma to be his wife....the girl's got taste and not only said yes but asked me to be a bridesmaid! Cagney does Weddings? Watch this space.

July Favourites - One product I've been seriously wowed by this month is the Damask Rose nail polish from & Other Stories. Now usually I'd turn my nose up at a metallic nail polish but this baby is different, the colour is perfect with my still-tanned-hands, the brush is neither too thin or wide whilst the lasting power (with the only top coat worth talking about, Seche Vite) is phenomenal. At just £5 this really is a purse friendly and memorable buy.

Two non beauty favourites that deserve a mention are my fairly new floral dress and cream quilted tee both from Primark - with C and I moving house I've been trying hard to cut back on unnecessary wardrobe additions but with the mercury rising it'd be rude for me not to take full advantage and make a few purchases. Snaps for Primark who manage to make desirable clothes under £15. Primark, you did good.

Favourite You Tube Video - Although I adore almost every video this girl turns her hand to, the Summer Edit Alix from I Covet Thee has recently posted on YT is such a fun yet informative watch. Note pad and pencil at the ready team, now if I only I could plait my hair like that...

Another real blogging fave right now is Gemsmaquillage who despite having a tough time personally has been bringing fresh posts to both her website and YT channel. I'm both addicted and inspired by her food diary posts. Keep it up Gem!

Lusting After - This month I've found myself stuck in a beauty rut and my skin has been serious playing up, someone clearly doesn't enjoy the stress of moving house! As resting on my laurels is not a term I'm familiar with I'm determined to mix things this month and I'm contemplating adding a few newbies into my skincare routine. Will Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair mark two be finding it's way onto my dressing table? You'll just have to wait and see.
