It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to - no it's not my actual birthday (FYI that's the 26th of April if you're a forward planning kinda person) no today Cagney and Lace is a year old. It doesn't seem two minutes ago since I was discussing potential blog names with my good pal Lauren whilst planning my first post and now a pipeline dream has become a reality.

 Blogging has become a huge part of what makes me tick and there's nothing I enjoy more than coming home from a long day at work, grabbing the laptop (not forgetting some snacks) and writing about everything that makes me happy - I'm thinking fashion splurges, letting you know what's currently in my make up bag or cooking up a lifestyle post. I never thought in my wildest dreams that people would follow my musings, let alone take the time to comment or get in touch via Twitter (other social medias are available), for this I thank you all.

 As with any birthday I've decided to start my own tradition, ensuring that every time the 30th of July rolls up I'll treat myself to a gift and a piece of cake - well it is my blogging birthday after all. Speaking of gifts, you may recognise this jumper from my recent Wednesday Wishlist. Sure it's a little crazily priced but with an ASOS voucher burning a hole in my boyfriend jeans I decided to take the plunge. So without a further a do I encourage you to raise a glass or mug and wish Cagney and Lace a very happy first birthday, seriously though guys it means the world to me that you enjoy my blog and if I could buy you all a piece a cake I certainly would.
