ASOS Blazer in Fluro Boucle £35 |
Happy Wednesday guys! I can't believe I haven't blogged since Sunday, naughty Hannah. To be fair the boy and I have been busy bees - my parents have been away for six weeks and returned home today so we've had to give the house a proper top to bottom clean so along with work and popping to the gym I've had very little time to put finger tips to keyboard.
So the day before Valentines ASOS announced they were giving 10% off everything except sale, now this can only mean bad things for my bank balance and shock horror look what found it's way into my online basket faster than you can say discount code - in all honesty I ordered a van load of goodies but this is the only item that I deemed worthy to make the front of my wardrobe. If you could of only heard some of the comments the boy made about the other bits I'd ordered.... One gem was, 'that looks like nightgown that a woman in the 1920s would wear", not a keeper then dear?
This fluorescent boucle style jacket is exactly what I've been looking for well, forever - ever since I laid eyes on the the real Chanel boucle jackets I've longed for my own slice of Chanel-esque pie. Loved and worn by everyone from the Made in Chelsea lot to Olivia Palermo and The Saturdays (are you loving Chasing The Saturdays as much as me?) the boucle style jacket is a wardrobe staple which gives any outfit that je nais se quoi. Now I'll level with you, I've tried more of these structured style jackets in Zara than you could shake a stick at but thanks to my broad shoulders I always feel far too restricted in them, no matter how pretty they look on. This is where this little ASOS number scores fashion points as it feels like a cardigan yet looks like a serious structured jacket on, score! Neon is set to be huge for S/S 13 so I can't wait to rock this with everything from pretty dresses to cute shirts and skinny jean combos - you may just be seeing this pop up on more than a few OOTD posts in the near future, don't say you weren't warned.
I'm off to get my pamper on before the BRITs Awards begin, rumour has it that both Justin Timberlake and Beyonce are making an appearance... exciting!
What do you think of my new in fluro boucle jacket? Would you wear a boucle style jacket?

Love the jacked and I love the colour x

Ooooh we could be jacket twins Ellie, I think they've done it in black and white too but the neon is easily more fun.
DeleteI agree definitely a wardrobe staple :) And adore the bright color! I´m a sucker for brights. Hahaha! Btw, I am heading to a part of Spain that I´ve never been to before (Sevilla) and if you´d like, I´ll let you know if it´s a great place for a vacation. So far, everyone tells me that it is a beautiful city.
ReplyDeleteI love brights too, they definitely look better in the sunshine! Ooooh I've heard such good things about Sevilla, definitely let me know how you find it please Daphne - we've still not booked a holiday yet and it's driving me mad.
