Happy Sunday guys! I can't believe how quickly this week has flown by and in a blur of dark, cold mornings and foggy evenings- Sheffield certainly hasn't been the place to be this week, even more so if you're trying to blog. I'd like to blame the poor weather for my blogging absence this week- I've found it a real struggle ]when all I've been wanting to do is take outfit pictures in nature day light. Instead I've found myself getting in from work and snuggling up with a cosy blanket, drinking numerous herbal teas and generally vegging on the sofa but with some new post ideas on the horizon and saving the outfit posts for the weekend I feel revived and ready to blog again.
Last night one of my friends hosted a Halloween get together with a feline dress up theme, thankfully it wasn't too literal as I must admit I'm not one for fancy dress. I appreciate get togethers so much more at this age, it's strange to think how I used to see these girls every day when we were at secondary school and then sixth form but now we all have full time jobs and some of us live in different cities we don't get to see each as much.
On the arrival of my new ASOS blouse this week (yes I buckled and bought something without eBay earnings) I knew I had to base my outfit around it and decided on the loose theme of a persian cat. The ASOS blouse could well be one of my new wardrobe favourites and it gives more than just a nod to the baroque trend, reminiscent of old school Versace. I decided to tuck this into my faux leather shorts, adding a leopard print belt to define my waist. Last but by no means least are the pretty lace cat ears which one of my lovely friends picked me up from Topshop. These keep the outfit fashiony and remind me of something Pixie Lott would rock.
Needless to say the girls and I had a great evening, enjoying far too many tequilas and halloween eyeball punches for my liking so it should be no surprise that I feel slightly delicate today. I'll definitely need a few extra clicks of my By Terry touch expert today and I can't wait to carb up on roasties at lunch time.
Did you dress up for Halloween? Did you keep it more fashion than scare fest or did you go all out?

Love the shirt with the shorts - lovely outfit! x

That's very sweet of you Heather, thank you. Sometimes you can't beat a night in though, I had to wait until Sunday to catch up with X Factor.
DeleteI love this look! If I saw these two pieces together I old thing they would be too much, but it isn't, I absolutely love how you styled this outfit. Amazing job! xx
