Healthy eating is the topic on everyones lips right now, from Deliciously Ella to Madeleine Shaw, not forgetting Jamie Olivers battle with the government over the sugar tax - almost everyone is talking about what to eat. While I've always been an 80/20 eater (80% healthy and 20% whatever I fancy) the birth of my beautiful daughter Sadie has made me even more wary of what I should and shouldn't be eating so a blog gathering to test the new Spring menu at Sheffield founded Nourish couldn't have come at a more appropriate time.

If you're a Cagney and Lace regular you'll know this wasn't my first trip to Nourish (read about it here) but in case you haven't a clue Nourish is part of the new fast food restaurant brigade with all the speed and convenience of McDonalds but with none of the unhealthy and unsatisfying cack involved. On Wednesday I was lucky enough to sample some of the Spring menu and boy are you Sheffield (and Leeds lot) in for a treat - the stand out dishes for me were the Lift Yourself box packed with beetroot, buckwheat, feta and sesame and the delicious Italian Meatballs made from turkey, tomato, parmesan, tarragon and lemon. Wanna know the thing that'll have me beating down Nourishs front door for more? Their fresh out the kitchen smoothies - the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and Berry Kombucha are divine and perfect for satisfying my sweet craving.

What I love about Nourish is that each dish is created with a health benefit and feel-good factor in mind, unlike most restaurants its the costings that come secondary and that's my kind of customer care. Founder and nutritionist Dave is as passionate as ever about bringing healthy eating to the masses working with everyone from Sheffield City Council to the Housing Association. I asked Dave for tips on how to lose the remainder of my baby weight and he told me what he tells all his clients including a few celebrity mums - nourished mum, nourished baby. Totally makes sense right?

Now when can I go and get another Berry Kombucha smoothie?

Have you ever visited Nourish? Do you enjoy eating healthy?
