There was a time when only my Michael Kors watch would grace my wrist - along with almost every other girl in the land I was obsessed with the chunky, sporty style but lately there's been a shift in the times. Gone are the metal linking straps with faces that tell you the date and time replaced by a simple sophistication - the understated gentleman's inspired timepiece and I for one am sold. So much so that I've welcomed one into my collection, say hello to the Wentworth from local brand Vis Vires*.

Now if you're a regular around these parts you'll know how keen I am to support local businesses and Vis Vires is no exception, founded by two brothers from Chesterfield they vow to create luxurious and affordable timepieces and I for one think they're doing an ace job. The Wentworth mixes dreamy rose gold accents with a minimalist white strap which you can even switch up if you get bored, something I can't ever imagine happening. Leather Daniel Wellington-esque watches more your bag? Vis Vires have got the beautifully simple Chatsworth, I know they do spoil us.

So if you're looking for gifts to put under the tree this Christmas, are ready for a change from your usual Olivia Burton or fancy helping a brother out then maybe it's time Vis Vires were on your radar. Now please excuse me while I throw on my Wentworth and head out, I'm late for a very important date.

What do you make of the Wentworth? Will you be adding a watch to your Christmas list?
