It's official, I've got a cold. One of those everything aches, sneezy, headache filled kind of colds so I'm doing what any self respecting adult does and thats feed the beast (healthily of course) while throwing in a few sweet treats courtesy of the team at Candy Hero*. Now I love British chocolate as much as the next gal (gimme all the Dairy Milk) but you've got to admit those Americans have some pretty tasty treats up their sleeves too which is where Candy Hero come in. Not only do they source those hard to find treats from across the pond (who even knew a laffy taffy wasn't just something rappers sung about?) but also goodies from around the globe. I know where I'll be heading for a cheeky Pop Tart fix next time I'm in Leeds...but seriously though s'mores flavoured pop tarts. Utter perfection.

While reading blogs is the de rigueur for most now I still love picking up a magazine or six, especially when I'm feeling under the weather - home mags are my usual jam however August is the month I grab all my fashion favourites as the September issues are packed with the latest Autumn Winter trends. Having spent months in oversized clothes and maternity wares I'm looking forward to adding a few key items to my wardrobe in the hope of building that elusive capsule closet. One thing being pregnant taught me was that you need far less than clothes than you think so from this season forward I'm determined to buy less but better. One item that I'm keen to invest in is leather trousers - for the past two Autumn Winter seasons I've sported a faux pair from River Island which are practically falling apart. I love how versatile they are, working seamlessly from day to night, giving any outfit an edge. I've spied a few pairs in Reiss that aren't eye wateringly expensive but would love your recommendations too?

Now where's that laffy taffy?

Do you salivate at the sight of American candy? What are you looking to buy for the A/W season?

*PR Sample, all sweet thoughts my own.
