I was really hoping to bring an outfit of the day post to proceedings, as I do every Sunday but as I was about to shoot my ensemble the heavens opened and it's been pretty windy and miserable ever since, where you at sunshine? I miss you already. So instead of fashion I'm chatting foundation and one that I've been sat on the fence about for a little while.

The Zelens Youth Glow Foundation* is packed with potent anti-ageing, skin loving goodies and is said to reduce signs of stress and tiredness while creating a smooth complexion with a radiant finish. Now this I would wholeheartedly agree with - on application this creamy (and I mean creamy) yet medium coverage foundation perfects skin within an inch of it's life, it's almost like you've been airbrushed but in a natural, weightless way. With a subtle, fresh scent of cucumbers I find this incredibly soothing to apply and a little goes a long way when blended with clean fingers, I'm yet to find a brush that I get the same natural look with.

So what's the problem? Doesn't everyone want radiant, airbrushed skin that's perfected whilst looking natural? In a word yes but I find that this foundation doesn't last all day on my skin like my usual favourites (Nars Sheer Glow and Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonderand I put this down to it's creamy consistency. Now if you have a drier or more mature skin that drinks up product then this would be the perfect foundation for you but as a normal to oiler skinned gal I do find this starts out beautiful before disappearing from my face later in the day and at £65 that isn't what you want. That said the look this foundation gives is something else so I do still wear it, just not everyday but for weekends instead when make-up doesn't need to last a full eight hours.

Have you ever tried any make-up from Zelens? Does Youth Glow sound like your kind of base?
