Where is this month disappearing to? I can't believe it's my birthday in just seven days, the countdown is officially on and my wish list is here, just in case you....joking. This weekend has passed by so quickly (are you sensing a theme?) Saturday I woke early, took a shopping trip to Meadowhall and treated myself to a few pre-birthday treats before meeting up with my mum for an al fresco dining sesh. Later the fiancee and I headed to our fave couples abode for games night in their magazine perfect home #kitchenenvy. We chowed down on Moroccan fodder and played Tension which is a pretty hilar board game. Today things have been pretty chill as Craig and I took a walk around Derwent Valley, check out my Insta for some swoon worthy countryside snaps. Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the new lambs so you'll have to use your imagination, so cute.

Todays shots typify the kind of outfit I've been reaching for lately, if it's not maternity jeans it's leggings I've been wearing paired with either a shirt or a dress - let's just say the fashion conscious maternity opportunities are few and far between. One positive that has come from having less clothes available to me is how easy it is to get dressed in the morning, there's a lot to be said for a more streamlined, edited wardrobe - even if there are days when I long for a little more adventure. Double denim is always a look I've admired so I'm thrilled to give a nod to the current revival, even with a baby on board. My nude Sam Edelman sandals say chic and help to elongate my pins while my orange satchel brings a much needed pop of colour.

I may not be rocking a seventies inspired suede mini or an airy, white off the shoulder top now but as soon as baby Wild arrives I'll be treating myself to one almighty shopping trip. You've been warned...

What have you been up to this weekend? Do you enjoy a bit of double denim?
