I don't think I can imagine a more perfect-for-a-festival outfit than this, fitting really as yesterday a few friends, the boy and I hit up Tramlines (Sheffields music festival) for a day of beverages in the sun, listening to bands and just general soaking up the atmosphere-ness creating memories with loved ones. Today I feel surprisingly fresh although this could be something to do with the amount of food I've consumed in the last twenty four hours, I'm talking poached eggs, a Dominoes pizza, BBQ food and the ultimate pulled pork burger from Sheffield newbie Smoke - definitely one to try if you're ever in the neighbourhood.

This was going to be my ensemble for the day but as it was so sorchio (remember that?) I decided on my Whistles co-ord and New Balance instead throwing this on for a BBQ today with the sort of in-laws. Topshop princess couldn't be a more appropriate title for this post seeing as everything I'm wearing is from the high street mecca, brownie points if you get the song reference. Back in the day (I'm talking late teens here) nearly all my wardrobe was Topshop, old habits clearly die hard. The newest addition to my wardrobe line up are these beaded shorts which took forever to track down in my size, if you fancy these then size up guys, I couldn't even zip up my usual size! Thankfully after trying three London stores (more about that later this week) I tried my old friend topshop.com and the rest is photographical history. Paired with a relaxed denim shirt and fringed shoes this is the ultimate laid back, slightly folky ensemble, just throw a tasseled backpack into the mix and you're good to go. Oh how I'm craving one of those.

Things are looking peachy this week - I can't wait to celebrate my mums birthday, enjoy a road trip to York with Craig and pull out the party poppers for Cagney and Laces second birthday in just three days time. I feel a celebratory giveaway coming on...

Have you been having fun in the sun this weekend? What would you wear to a festival?
