These past few weeks have been packed to the rafters with events, celebrations and activities and while I'm more than ok with road trips, getting my glad rags on and enjoying a change of scenery or two there's nothing I love more than relaxing at home with the man friend. With the bank holiday being a literal wash out here in Sheffield (with the exception of this afternoon) Craig and I decided a pyjama day was the way forward complete with sausage egg sarnies and Sunday Brunch to keep us company. After lounging well past four pm I felt cabin fever creeping in so with the sun finally shining we made ourselves look presentable, popped the pooch on his lead and set off to the Botanical Gardens with a quick pit stop at Costa.
Yesterday am saw me finally tackle the floordrobe switching up my Autumn Winter garms for my Spring Summer appropriates, not everything made the cut as I filled an entire bin liner with pieces for the charity shop. One item which I rediscovered in my quest to clean is this denim shift dress which has been since on ze blog for a while. I'd forgotten all about this throw on number and after feeling like things were lacking in the day dress department I couldn't have found this at a better time. Not everything in todays ensemble is old though, my mac is ancient a few newbies have gatecrashed. Wardrobe give a warm welcome to my lilac fedora and leopard print brogues both unnecessary buys which haven't left my bod since entering my life although my fedora has come in increasingly handy during these epic down pours we've been experiencing so really, you could say it's an essential.
Tomorrow there's a food festival in town and you know what that means, foodie samples. Maybe I should have saved my sack like dress until then...
What have you been up to this bank holiday Sunday? Do you find wardrobe clear outs therapeutic?
