One of the real pinch yourself moments in blogging is when event invitations find their way into your inbox - I'm incredibly lucky to have attended a few events in my short blogging life but never one in my home town of Sheffield so when I heard about a styling challenge from Midnight Society, a brand founded in Sheffield I was typing a snappy response faster I could practice my smize.
Holly and Heather are the brains behind Midnight Society who focus on creating real tongue-in-cheek, British made t-shirts which they'd want to wear themselves after becoming fed up of seeing the same old slogans all over the high street. The girls have got that perfect lived in, 100% cotton t-shirt down to a tee (see what I did there?) and their unique, retro inspired prints have been seen on everyone from The Saturdays to Little Mix.
After discovering we could style up two t-shirts of our choosing there was a mini blogger scrum to grab our favourites with me plumping for Lazy Sundae and the rather festive Baby It's Cold Outside complete with red glitter, oh yeah! It's one thing pulling shapes when the boy or my mum are taking snaps for Cagney and Lace but a completely different ball game when there's a professional photographer behind the lens, thankfully Emily was super sweet and put me right at ease, giving me direction like it was going out of fashion. Holly and Heather are not only business babes and creative types but genuinely lovely girls who really made a conscious effort to look after all us bloggers providing pizza, home-made cupcakes and some rather generous goodie bags!
Premium tees are having a real fashion moment right now with brands like Zoe Karssen and Wildfox going from strength to strength all while costing a pretty penny - Midnight Society's offering is incredibly well priced (with tees starting around the £40 mark) particularly as everything is sourced in the UK. I absolutely adore the Autumn Winter collection and can't wait to see what the girls have got up their sleeves for Spring Summer, fingers crossed they reference Bring It On...
Do you love a bold slogan tee? How would you style your Midnight Society t-shirt?
