Well hello bank holiday weekend, you'll never know how much I've been looking forward to your arrival. Things have been a little cray cray since the boy and I officially moved into our new home, as exciting as the whole experience has been I've personally found it quite stressful, not to mention tiring and subsequently I've felt a little run down which means Cagney and Lace has suffered. As guilty as I feel when I don't blog I'm all about bringing quality posts to my little space on the Internet rather than quantity, that said I'd like to thank you all for sticking around and I'm happy to say things are finally coming together at home, hooray!

Yesterday my mum and I decided to go on an impromptu shopping trip and after a super tasty breakfast in Carluccios a quick, shall-we-have-a-look-in Primark turned into me hauling some serious goodies, oopsie. In the afternoon Craig and I hopped over to my brother and his fiancees place to celebrate their engagement - too many fruity ciders may have been consumed leaving us feeling a tad delicate today, thankfully this was quickly remedied by a beasty roast in our new local.

As a general rule I often find that how quickly I wear something after buying it is a testament to just how much I like it so when I found myself eagerly throwing on some of my Primark booty in a slap dash fashion this morning I knew it must be love. My favourite find of the trip has to be my new paisley print kimono jacket - after scouring the high street for what feels like an age for a kimono jacket only to discover ones in Topshop for fifty ish pounds I was thrilled to spot this beaut in Primark. Not only is this paisley print but it's a seriously versatile piece which will go with everything from skinny jeans to thrown over a simple dress for a night out.

As I'm all about the high low mix I teamed my new fave with a simple grey marl tee and my neon skirt which I picked up a while back in the mywardrobe sale, I absolutely adore this skirt but have ridiculously been saving it for best *slaps wrist*. As my ensemble has some serious colour goin' on I kept accessories neutral with my block heel Sam Edelman sandals, my beautiful Willow and finally a coloured stone eagle necklace. Oh Primark, you don't ever let me down.

Do you find yourself spending more than you bargained for in Primark? What have you been picking up?
