Well hello four day weekend, it's been far too long - you really should visit more often. Today I've spent the morning getting my barnet trimmed hence the rather goldilocks looking do, what can I say? It's just right! As it'd be rather rude not to take my pretty hair out the boy and I headed out to Fox House in Derbyshire and devoured a rather divine pub lunch (yes I had pie) before taking a long and hilly trek in the countryside - the amount of snow still there is absolutely crazy and I managed to fall over more than a few times. Tonight we're resting our weary limbs and fixing up a fancy supper for my parents, aren't we just the best house guests?

I've been dying to give this dress* from Warehouse an outing ever since it landed on my door step but the damn snow has prevented me from wearing it, until now. I adore distressed denim but would never let a pair of acid wash jeans anywhere near my thighs as they wouldn't do them justice which is one of the reasons why I love this dress so much. The skater style shape is incredibly flattering on my shape plus I love that I have absolutely nothing like it in my wardrobe. I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can rock this with bare legs, pretty sandals and beachy hair and not thick opaques and a waist belt - fingers crossed the weather man can hear me. To prevent me from freezing (goose pimple are never a good look) I added this cream chunky knit cardigan which I had forgotten all about until I tackled the scary pile that was my floordrobe last week, what a find it is! To ensure I felt ready to face the low Sheffield temperatures I threw on my berry bobble scarf, and for touch of fierce I added my much loved Topshop studded ankle boots.

I hope you're all enjoying your bank holiday as much as me, sadly the boy has to work tomorrow but it's not like I'll be sat around, oh no. My mum and I are finally off to Harrogate on our postponed Mothers Day trip - the day will most likely include me spending more money than I have in Space NK and see me consuming copious amounts of cake in the infamous Betty's Tea Rooms, nom.

What are you up to this Easter weekend? Will you be rocking acid wash denim any time soon?

*This dress was very kindly sent to me by Warehouse.
