Happy Monday guys! I don't know about you but this weekend has gone far too quickly for my liking, if you don't follow me on Twitter you may not know that the boy and I spent the whole weekend in London...we even got to leave work early on Friday (result!) So why did we spend the weekend down south? Funnily enough it was all to do with Christmas presents, no not buying them (although we did) but making use of a gift experience voucher we were gifted last Christmas. As I'm just a bit into food, mainly eating it and the boy loves cooking we opted for the BBC Good Food Show which we attended on Sunday- cue cooking demonstrations, Masterchef champs and far too much eating. I'd definitely recommend the Good Food Show especially if you spend your days salivating over celebrity chef programmes and love cooking up a storm at home.

Unsurprisingly, especially if you know me well the boy and I managed to cram plenty into our weekend including shopping, restaurant visiting and even a trip to the cinema....when in Rome and all that so expect a Cagney On Tour post very shortly.

The pictures outside were taken enroute to breakfast on Saturday morning. We stayed in the rather swish South Kensington so this beautiful black gate with lion studding was the perfect back drop for my Millie Mackintosh-esque outfit. I picked up the camel studded hat in the mahoosive Topshop on Oxford Street on Friday night and as soon as I saw the rain from our hotel window on Saturday I for one jumped for joy!

The pictures against the beautiful chintzy wallpaper were taken in our bedroom at the lovely Kensington Hotel. The velvet feel aztec print skater dress is a recent purchase, bought on one of those evenings where I wasn't planning on buying anything until I laid my eyes on this beauty and I just knew it was coming home with me, even before I'd even tried it on. It's a great fit on my rather hourglass shape and is actually quite cosy due to the velvet feel and the 3/4 length sleeves. Adding the heart studded belt and the tan ankle boots complete the outfit and make it just a little more me, especially with my new favourite faux fur stole.

What have you been wearing this weekend? Have you been wearing ay of my Autumn Winter favourites? Extra points for studding, floppy hats and faux fur.
