Happy Sunday guys and my what a great day it is- the sun is out and proud in Sheffield, the birds are tweeting so I'm taking the MacBook outside and coming live to you from the garden. The last couple of weeks have been hectic to say the least, me and the boy have moved from our humble abode back to my parentals house to save for a house deposit....far too exciting but just a tad stressful. On the plus side they have a gorgeous garden- something which we could only dream of in our flat so I thought it would be the perfect setting for showing you all my Zara goodies from Barcelona.
My first find was this parrot print blouse with embellished collar. It's quite oversized in fit and looks equally as good for work as it does for play- for a date night I'd team this with my black waxed jeggings and for a smarter look I'd add dark skinnys and beige ankle boots (three guesses where they're from?) I've since seen this on fellow blogger Milkteef- clearly a girl with great taste.
My next find was this zig-zag print, boucle skirt. I'd seen this print on a jacket in the Zara Leeds store but sadly my broad shoulders just aren't made for some of the more structured jackets that Zara lovingly create so as soon as I saw this skirt I knew I had to have it. I'll wear this with a fluid black shirt and nude heels for a night out or wear it with a big slouchy knit and black opaques for a more Wintery look.
My next find is beautifully modelled by the lady of the fountain- I saw this red leopard print scarf and just couldn't resist buying it. As I'm sure you've all gathered by now anything with an animal print is a winner with me, I'm sure it all started when I was about 5 years olf buying the Animals in Farthing Wood magazine! For days when I haven't got quite enough pattern on already, this will be pulled out of the wardrobe to add that extra pop of colour.
This faux leather and black knit jumper was a surprising choice for me as to the horror of my travel companion and best friend Gemma, I don't really do black. So with a polite nudge from the queen of black I gave this a whirl and it was love at first try. I'll be styling this up with Wintery floral trousers (Warehouse have a gorgeous pair which were worn by the ever stylish Millie Mackintosh) or with skinnys and my red leopard scarf for casual cool.
So I saved the best until last, this beauty could quite possibly be my new best friend- not only is it faux fur but it has the prettiest embellished detail on the shoulders. I seriously cannot wait to wear this- belted over dresses, worn with skinny jeans or even as a chic alternative to a leather jacket on a night out. This will be one of the hardest working jackets in my autumn/winter wardrobe and yes I may look like a yetis relation but I for one love the yeti look.
Whats your favourite item from my Zara haul? Are you just as obsessed with Zara as me?
Some lovely things there, I especially like the skirt and furry waistcoat - very cool x
ReplyDeleteAh thanks Lauren, you can't beat a good furry number for the Autumn/Winter wardrobe x
